Instead of taking corrective action and resolving the genuine grievances raised by the Association, Management is indulging in coercive practices. If Management thinks that such actions can stop AIGETOA from raising the genuine voice of Executives, let it clearly understand that AIGETOA stands for justice and has a long history of struggles. We will never, ever stop raising the genuine issues of our members.
We have demanded corrective action, due consideration of genuine cases, uniform treatment, time-bound resolution of grievances and strict adherence to the prescribed transfer policy. We have specifically demanded the issuance of cancellation orders in respect of all exempted cases, instead of keeping such cases lingering in an indefinite loop. Today, an employee may be exempted, but tomorrow the same person may again be directed to report or relieved. Therefore, we demanded that clear orders be issued in black and white so that uniform treatment is ensured and ambiguity is eliminated in future.
If Management considers highlighting its wrong decisions and practices to be an offence, we will continue to do so. Nobody can stop us from performing the very work for which the Association has been formed. AIGETOA will continue to raise issues concerning justice, transparency, uniformity and the legitimate interests of BSNL Executives.
It is unfortunate that the CMD BSNL, Director (HR), PGM (Estt.), PGM (Pers./SR), PGM (Admin.) and the concerned HR sections, instead of addressing the genuine grievances raised by the Association, are resorting to measures aimed at intimidating and suppressing AIGETOA, the Association which has consistently stood for justice and the legitimate rights of BSNL Executives.
We consider this action to be a direct outcome of our consistent efforts to raise the voice of Executives and to highlight wrong decisions and practices before the appropriate authorities. Our recent submissions before the Hon’ble Minister, Secretary (T), DoT and other authorities have clearly highlighted serious concerns relating to Customer Onboarding, FTTH, Mobile Services, CDR and IT Billing Systems, BharatNet, Uttarakhand Restructuring Pilot Project and several other issues affecting BSNL and its Executives.
We extend our thanks to Management for showing its real approach to the issues raised by AIGETOA. Isn’t it surprising that the PGM (Admin.), whose relieving has been demanded by the Association, is still not relieved? Isn’t it equally surprising that an Executive attached directly to the CMD’s office is still not relieved? Two Executives were relieved, subsequently reinstated and then again ordered to be relieved, apparently after the Association raised the issue of uniformity and justice.
It is equally concerning that employees with serious personal difficulties, including those who are physically challenged or facing genuine hardships, have been relieved, while persons perceived to be close to Management continue to be retained without any clearly disclosed grounds. Why this selective dispensation? Why is the Association’s demand for uniform treatment considered objectionable?
What is wrong in asking Management to provide a clear and uniform treatment of similarly placed cases? What is wrong in seeking resolution of genuine grievances that have remained pending for months and years? What is wrong in asking Management to fix responsibility and take appropriate action against officers responsible for wrong decisions or lapses?
These are legitimate questions raised by the Association and several of the facts concerning the issues raised by us have themselves been acknowledged in the communication issued by Management.
We also understand this action to be a belated response to the repeated complaints raised by AIGETOA against the functioning of PGM (Admin./Estt.) Shri S P Singh and our demand for his relieving. This so called letter has been issued in response to our latest complaint against PGM (Estb.) to CMD BSNL on 10.09.2026, wherein we raised serious objections regarding the unwarranted interruption by PGM (Estt.) during our meeting with PGM (Pers.).
The Association has already placed its concerns before the competent authorities regarding the manner in which the said incident took place. Instead of examining and addressing the complaint on its merits, Management appears to be protecting the concerned officer while initiating proceedings against the office bearers who raised the issue. This approach is completely unacceptable to AIGETOA and will not deter us from continuing to raise genuine issues.
AIGETOA reiterates that intimidation, disciplinary proceedings or coercive measures cannot silence the voice of the Association. We will continue to raise issues concerning justice, transparency, uniformity and accountability through all legitimate forums available to us.
AIGETOA stands firm. We will continue to speak for the Executives, question wrong practices and demand justice.
